Report: France supports new sanctions on Russia

PARIS, Apr 4 (PRIME) – France favors new sanctions on Russia, including restrictions on coal and oil imports, President Emmanuel Macron told radio France Inter on Monday.

"I think the events in Bucha oblige us to introduce a new set of sanctions, very targeted ones. We will coordinate this with our European partners. We will take additional targeted measures. I support  sanctions on oil and coal," Macron said.

He said that he wants the negotiations on the issue between the E.U. members to start in a few days.
